Sumners helps CBeebies in the garden
Sumners has recently completed post-production on Mr Bloom's Nursery,
which is the first new CBeebies in-house programme to come out of the
North West, prior to the department's move to MediaCity UK.
The 26 part series features an allotment looked after by Mr Bloom, that is
filled with assorted talking vegetables! The project was a mix of
tape (location) and tapeless (studio) acquisition. Sumners worked closely
with the production team from the pre production stage to ensure
the most efficient and reliable tapeless workflow for the Studio based
material.
In conjunction with One Box Television, we set up workflows
for recording onto the tapeless Nanoflash recording system and managing
the process through full post-production.
Sumners provided the editing, grading and audio work on the series, with
its design department, SumCreative, designing the show's logo and
producing song and dance sequences that combined animated vegetables and
specifically shot blue screen footage of Mr Bloom, played by Ben Faulks.
